Medicare CDBS and Veteran Affairs Dental

At Burwood East Dental Care, we want to ensure dental care is affordable for all our local residents and families. The Medicare Child Benefits Schedule covers dental treatment up to $1000 over 2 years and includes dental treatments such as check-ups, cleaning, x-rays, fillings, extractions, and root canals. We will bulk-bill Medicare Child Dental Scheme. If you are not sure whether your children are eligible or not, feel free to check their eligibility with us.

Health Funds

At Burwood East Dental Care, we support all private health funds with fast on the spot claiming.

Following a comprehensive examination, we provide a personalised treatment plan detailing all procedure costs and item numbers, so you can calculate your refund.

There are a number of factors that will affect the refund that you are entitled to receive for Dental treatment including:

Overall treatment cost
The level of cover you have
Whether you have just general dental cover or both general & major
Which health insurance fund you are with
Whether or not there is enough yearly rebate remaining with your cover

For your convenience, we utilise a HICAPS machine, allowing us to process your insurance claim on the spot, and meaning you only have to pay the gap payment. HICAPS is a convenient way of ensuring you do not have to later go to your insurer with paperwork, or come up with vast amounts of money for treatments on the spot.

Once you have received a treatment plan, we can give you an instant cost estimate with HICAPS or you easily contact your insurer and quoting the item codes, your insurer will be able to quickly provide you with a rebate estimate.

At Burwood East Dental Care, we will waive your gap payment (no out of pocket cost) if you have an eligible private health insurance dental cover which covers for $149 or above for preventive treatments. We accept all Australian health insurance funds.
